Thank you for taking a few minutes to check out our website. Advent just isn’t a building, it is a group of people who have devoted themselves to God. Changed lives, changing lives, through Christ’s love is our mission statement and the vision for our church. Advent Lutheran Church builds, trains and equips their people, through transformation, and by transformation, to share the love of God and the grace given through Jesus Christ to the community and the world.
While you are browsing our website, you will learn about Advent Lutheran and get a glimpse of who we are but only a brief look. To fully understand us, come to a worship service and feel the up-close, in person fellowship that comes when people share time together. We would love to meet and know you.
If you would like to receive regular updates about what’s happening at Advent Lutheran, please provide your contact information and we will make sure you receive all current information.

Faith is a relationship of trust with our God that also includes our questions and doubts.
We accept the Apostles’ Creed as a true declaration of our faith:
I believe in God, the Father almighty,
creator of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, God’s only Son, our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died and was buried;
he descended to the dead.
On the third day he rose again;
he ascended into heaven,
he is seated at the right hand of the Father,
and he will come to judge the living and the dead.
We believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy catholic Church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting. Amen.
At the table of our Lord Jesus Christ, God nourishes faith, forgives sin, and calls us to be witnesses to the Gospel.
You are invited to commune if you have been baptized. If you have not been baptized, you are invited to come forward for a blessing at communion – just cross your arms over your chest as a sign; and we lovingly invite you to learn the faith of the Church, be baptized, and thereafter faithfully receive Holy Communion. Please bring your questions to the Pastor.
Children are welcome and included in worship and at Communion. There is always a children’s message and an activity area in the sanctuary. Child care is available all morning if parents wish. Parents are welcome to step to the fellowship hall to soothe a fussy little one while still being able to hear the service.
